1. The AME church shooting tragedy in Charleston
The vast majority of police do NOT think so. In the PoliceOne survey of over 15,000 law enforcement professionals:
'A full 86 percent feel that casualties would have been reduced ... in recent tragedies like Newtown and Aurora if a legally-armed citizen was present.'
Their evidence flatly contradicts the fatuous uttering of previous US President Democrat Bill Clinton (who's protected by guards with guns), speaking at the Clinton Global Initiative America Conference on June 14, 2016:"MORE people would have been killed if someone [at the Orlando Nightclub where 49 were massacred] had a permitted concealed handgun."
Yet some cities as well as some police chiefs distrust even their law-abiding citizens to be armed - and still don't realize why so many of their citizens distrust the police in return...2. The AME church was a gun free zone
Murdered Senator Pinckney voted to ensure his AME church was a gun-free zone and tragically suffered the consequences - along with eight fellow parishioners. If the slain Democratic Senator had survived, would the attack have changed his mind like Ohio Democrat Representative Michael Debose?
Gun-control groups and demagogues are busy exploiting this tragedy, while many see their rhetoric as the cause of so many deaths at the church. They pretend not to realize that gun control laws simply ensure law-abiding citizens are defenseless against a racist murderer.

Most businesses boarded up, all except a white-owned Conoco gas station and convenience store. Four black Ferguson residents spent the night planted in front of the store, pistols tucked into their waistbands, waiting to ward off looters or catch shoplifters. One said they had chased away several groups of teenagers rampaging through the area.
Yes, unpaid black men protecting a gas station/convenience store owned by a white man.
"We would have been burned to the ground many times over if it weren't for them," said the owner, Doug Merello, who feels deep ties to Ferguson; if the loyalty of his regular customers is any indication, the feeling is mutual.
4. Reduce Racial Tensions - Improve Racial Harmony
Responsible black citizens suffer disproportionately from crime compared to whites. Yet minorities often don't see that their local politicians - or the police - are concerned about their safety. Reassuring all your voters that their security is very important is crucial in today's more restless world of confrontation. Be pre-emptive, rather than just react to situations like Ferguson, North Charleston, and Sanford
Media reports are not very complimentary to local politicians nor the police nor local administrators. Even the British Economist, the well-respected international weekly, says: "The Ferguson mayor, who is white, has appeared clueless" - and provides ample proof! See here, here, here, and here. - Get all your people feeling safer by empowering ALL your law-abiding, responsible people - black and white - to defend their families from violent criminals. The majority of blacks now recognize that guns in law-abiding hands protect them from crime .
- A violent criminal hesitates to attack - or stops his attack - once he knows his prey is armed . With fewer violent attacks your officers have more time to deal with other citizens and less serious crimes. The end result, fewer crimes are ignored and a happier citizen/police relationship.
- City of Nelson Police Chief Jim Koury enjoys the increased cooperation the police get in solving crimes from citizens who can protect themselves:
"People normally don't want to get involved in suspicious activity or crimes because they're scared of becoming a victim themselves.
"But [once you're armed and able to protect yourself], you're much more likely to be open and sincere with police officers because you have a means to defend yourself and your family if the bad guys come looking for you."
5. And those who object?
No matter the citizen's race, color or creed, being armed should not be a problem provided they are honest and law-abiding. The police have guns to defend themselves against criminals, why shouldn't responsible citizens do exactly the same...
Yet some still believe that qualified citizens should NOT be allowed to defend their families. If you believe that gun bans are a good idea, then how does stopping law-abiding citizens from protecting their families decrease crime? How do you trace, step by step, from start to finish, the causal path from the gun ban to the decrease in violent crime that you think it produces?
When someone has a strong belief, they may see a different perspective as wrong, rather than as different. Their judgement stops them seeking to be effective, you need an open mind to look at all the evidence. Nothing is 100%, there are benefits and drawbacks to every perspective. The question is: Which produces more desirable results, more often?
6. Who Nurtures the Fiction that Law-abiding Guns Cause Crime?
If it were true that fewer guns in law-abiding hands cause less crime, then America should disarm the police as well as all armed guards - it would cause less crime! Yet dictators as well as democrats use such irrational nonsense to justify disarming their citizens. But who wants you to believe this untruth?
- CAREER POLITICIANS who put their political advancement far ahead of their voters' safety.
- LEADERS with a HIDDEN AGENDA deceive their followers. Those who uncritically believe whatever they say cause enormous hidden damage which everyone - including themselves - suffer.
- Some people believe there's SAFETY IN NUMBERS. They want you to believe it simply because they do. They believe the common fallacy which holds that if some people - important people - say something, then it must be true. But which of those different opinions do you believe?
- Others ignore INDIRECT CONSEQUENCES, says Bastiat. They see only the direct consequences: gun controls mean fewer guns. They don't realize that criminals don't obey the law, so fewer guns in law-abiding hands means more defenseless prey for violent criminals.
- The EDUCATIONAL SYSTEM which far too often indoctrinates by teaching what to think, rather than how to think.
- Many people are just GULLIBLE, they uncritically believe their thoughts - as well as what they're told to believe. If you get emotional trying to defend your opinion, it's often because you can't defend it rationally, you haven't bothered to think it through...
- Others are so SURE THEY'RE RIGHT that their mind is closed to the enormous compelling evidence which overwhelmingly proves that guns in responsible hands reduce crime.
- RACISTS who believe that slaves should not have the right to own guns. See the 1856 US Supreme Court ruling on the Dred Scott vs. Sandford case. Last but not least
- CRIMINALS and those who benefit from crime do NOT want their prey - that’s YOU - armed...
7. Picture your Community with less Crime and Rape...

It's simple to decrease your violent crime. Encourage your people to be trained and ready to protect their families. Watch your violent crime drop dramatically because violent career criminals are frightened of being injured by armed victims - and stop their attacks.
